About Ryan Drake
The person behind the stopwatch. Three years, 47 withdrawals, and one obsessive focus: how fast can you actually get your money out?
Why I Started Timing Withdrawals
It began with a frustrating experience. Back in 2023, I won $1,200 at an online casino and submitted a withdrawal. The site advertised "fast payouts." Six days later, I still did not have my money. When I contacted support, they told me the processing was "within normal timeframes." That is when I decided someone needed to actually verify these claims with a stopwatch.
I am Ryan Drake. I live in Melbourne, I have a background in financial services compliance, and I spend my evenings depositing real money at online casinos to test how quickly they let you take it back out. It sounds unusual because it is — but the data I collect fills a genuine gap in how casino sites are reviewed.
How This Became a Full Project
My first few tests were just for personal reference. I wanted to know which casinos actually delivered on their payout promises. I kept a spreadsheet with timestamps, payment methods, and processing notes. After testing six casinos, I realised the variance was enormous — some processed withdrawals in under 30 minutes while others took nearly a week. The data told a story that no other review site was capturing.
Cashout King launched in late 2024 as a place to publish this data. The format is deliberate: I show you the exact timestamps from my testing, the payment methods used, and the conditions under which each test was conducted. No vague "fast payouts" claims — just measured times you can compare.
My Testing Process
Every casino on this site has been tested with my own money. I do not accept free balances or special treatment from casino operators. The process for each casino follows a consistent protocol:
- Register a new account using my genuine identity details
- Deposit $100-$250 AUD via the payment method being tested
- Play through any wagering requirements on standard pokies (typically Blood Suckers or Starburst for consistency)
- Submit a withdrawal request and start the timer
- Record the exact timestamp when funds are confirmed in my personal account
- Repeat at least twice more with different payment methods and on different days
I test on weekdays and weekends to capture any processing differences. I test during business hours and late at night. The goal is to paint an accurate picture of what a real player will experience, not just the best-case scenario.
What I Look for Beyond Speed
While withdrawal speed is the primary metric on this site, I also observe and document several related factors during testing:
- KYC efficiency: How long does identity verification take? Is it automated or manual?
- Support responsiveness: If I contact support about a withdrawal, how quickly and helpfully do they respond?
- Consistency: Does the casino perform the same on test #1, #2, and #3, or does speed vary wildly?
- Transparency: Does the casino clearly state its processing times, or do you only find out after submitting a withdrawal?
- Mobile parity: Can you do everything on mobile that you can on desktop, especially banking operations?
What I Do Not Do
I do not review game quality in depth — there are better resources for that. I do not negotiate special bonuses or exclusive deals with casinos. I do not accept payment from casinos to improve their ranking. The speed data is the speed data; it cannot be bought or negotiated.
Cashout King earns revenue through standard affiliate commissions when visitors register at casinos through links on this site. This is transparently disclosed and does not influence the rankings. A casino cannot pay to move from position #8 to position #3 — that would require them to actually process withdrawals faster.
The Numbers
Future Plans
I plan to expand the testing roster beyond 10 casinos throughout 2026. I am also developing a system to re-test existing casinos quarterly, which will let me track whether withdrawal speeds are improving or declining over time. Any significant changes will be reflected in updated rankings.
If you have a specific casino you would like me to test, or if your own withdrawal experience at one of these casinos differs significantly from my published data, I want to hear about it. Accurate data requires ongoing verification, and player reports help me identify casinos that may have changed their processing procedures since my last test.
