Testing Methodology
Transparent, repeatable, and funded with real money. This is exactly how every withdrawal speed measurement on this site is produced.
Core Principles
Every data point on Cashout King follows four principles: real money (no demo accounts or operator-provided balances), controlled conditions (consistent deposit amounts, pokies, and procedures), multiple tests (minimum three withdrawals per casino), and full transparency (exact timestamps published for verification).
Test Protocol
Step 1: Account Registration
I register a new account at the casino using my genuine personal details. No VIP status, no previous history, no special arrangements with the operator. This ensures my experience matches what a new player would encounter.
Step 2: KYC Verification
I submit identity documents immediately after registration. This is timed separately and reported in each review. The KYC clock starts when I upload documents and stops when I receive verification confirmation. First-time KYC is excluded from the withdrawal speed measurement to provide a fair comparison, since it is a one-time event.
Step 3: Deposit
I deposit between $100 and $250 AUD via the payment method being tested. The deposit amount is chosen to be large enough to survive wagering requirements on a high-RTP pokie while remaining within typical player behaviour ranges. Deposit timestamp is recorded.
Step 4: Wagering
If a bonus is claimed, I play through wagering requirements using Blood Suckers (98.0% RTP) or Starburst (96.9% RTP) for consistency. Bet sizes are kept at $1-$2 per spin. Wagering completion time is recorded but reported separately from withdrawal speed.
Step 5: Withdrawal Submission
I submit a withdrawal request through the casino's standard cashier interface. The primary timer starts at the exact moment I click the "Submit" or "Confirm" button. This timestamp is recorded to the minute in AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time).
Step 6: Confirmation
The timer stops when funds are confirmed as received in my personal account. For crypto, this means the transaction has received the standard number of network confirmations (typically 1-3 depending on the cryptocurrency). For PayID and bank transfers, this means the funds appear as an available balance in my bank account. For card withdrawals, this means the refund appears on my card statement.
Test Variables
Payment Methods
Each casino is tested with a minimum of two different payment methods. The methods tested depend on what the casino offers, but I prioritise: cryptocurrency (Bitcoin preferred), PayID, and one traditional method (Visa/Mastercard or bank transfer). This provides data across the full speed spectrum.
Timing
Tests are conducted at varying times: weekday mornings (9-11am AEST), weekday afternoons (2-5pm AEST), and weekends (Saturday or Sunday, mixed times). This captures any differences in processing speed based on time of day or day of week.
Withdrawal Amounts
Standard test withdrawals range from $80 to $300 AUD. I do not test with very large amounts (over $1,000) because these may trigger additional compliance reviews that would not apply to typical withdrawals. The tested amounts reflect normal player behaviour.
Data Recording
All test data is recorded in a structured spreadsheet with the following fields:
- Casino name and test number (e.g., "BetNinja Test #3")
- Date and day of week
- Deposit method, amount, and timestamp
- Withdrawal method, amount, and submission timestamp
- Withdrawal confirmation timestamp
- Total elapsed time (submission to confirmation)
- Any notable observations (delays, error messages, support interactions)
Speed Rating Criteria
The four speed ratings are assigned based on average withdrawal time across all tests for a given casino:
| Rating | Average Time | Criteria |
|---|---|---|
| Lightning | < 1 hour | Average across all tested payment methods is under 60 minutes |
| Fast | < 24 hours | Average is under 24 hours. Majority of tests completed same-day. |
| Standard | 1-3 days | Average is between 1 and 3 business days |
| Slow | 3+ days | Average exceeds 3 business days |
Limitations and Caveats
No testing methodology is perfect. Here are the known limitations of my approach:
- Sample size: 3-5 tests per casino provides a reasonable average but cannot capture every possible outcome. Rare events (system outages, holiday delays) may not be represented.
- Account history: My account has verified KYC status after the first withdrawal. Completely new players may experience a slower first withdrawal due to initial verification.
- Time sensitivity: Casino processing speeds can change over time due to staffing changes, system upgrades, or policy modifications. My data represents a snapshot from January-March 2026.
- Amount bias: I test with moderate amounts ($80-$300). Very large withdrawals (over $5,000) may be subject to additional review that I have not tested.
- Geographic factors: All tests are conducted from Melbourne, Australia. Players in different locations may experience different network latencies for crypto or different banking cut-off times.
Update Schedule
Current data reflects testing conducted in January-March 2026. I plan to re-test all 10 casinos quarterly, with the next round scheduled for April-June 2026. Any significant changes to rankings will be published as they are confirmed, rather than waiting for the full quarterly cycle.
If you experience withdrawal times that differ significantly from my published data, please consider that individual results vary. However, if multiple reports suggest a casino's speed has changed, I will prioritise re-testing that operator.
